The TextFirst System
The Test First™ system is unique within the industry. While some companies use a one-size fits all approach, Test First provides you with a customized plan and specific materials to create the healthy, green grass you want, with reduced clippings that clog up landfills. We use a balanced nutrient approach for the turf grass species grown specifically in your yard. We prescribe programs and tailor products at the right rate – and at the right time – based upon your specific species of grass. To do this, we use a simple, three-step process.
Test.
We provide you with a soil probe to test your yard. You pull the plugs in a zigzag pattern in all the areas of your yard you want to treat. In addition, we provide you with a tool to measure your yard. Our instructional DVD and written instructions inside the kit shows you exactly how to pull the plugs and measure your yard. Once you pull the plugs from the yard, you drop it into the postage-paid envelope and put it in your mailbox. It will go directly to the lab.
Prescribe.
Prescribe. Based on a 16 point analysis, we analyze the pH balance, cation exchange (used as a measure of yard fertility), and other materials in your soil. Every yard is unique, which is why we test each one individually. We prescribe products for you to use throughout the year to get the yard you’ve always wanted.
Apply.
Now that you have the testing results that show precisely what your yard is lacking, you have two options... First, you can buy the products yourself and treat your lawn throughout the year as instructed. Or, you can ensure that your lawn care professional applies exactly the right products your lawn needs. Either way – you are on your way to the lush and dark green grass you’ve always wanted.
